Arkansas marked the first use of Resensation®, an innovative breast cancer surgical procedure designed to restore sensation after mastectomy. Together, Eric Wright, MD, a board-certified plastic surgeon, and Yara Robertson, MD, CARTI’s medical director of surgery and breast surgical oncologist, performed this procedure.

Madalynn Potter, PA-C, and Rebekah Sanchez, PA-C, recently joined the Washington Regional Brain and Spine Surgery Clinic, part of the J.B. Hunt Transport Services Neuroscience Institute, where they provide care for patients with diseases and disorders of the brain, nervous system, and spine.

Potter completed a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Arkansas.

Four of Mercy’s rural hospitals in Arkansas recently were named among the top 100 critical access hospitals in the country by The Chartis Center for Rural Health.

Mercy critical access hospitals in Berryville, Booneville, Paris, and Waldron are four of the seven Arkansas hospitals named to the list. The recognition is based on the Chartis Rural Hospital Strength Index, which assesses quality, outcomes, patient perspective, and cost.
