Baptist Health recently appointed new leadership at its hospitals in Little Rock, North Little Rock, Malvern, and Arkadelphia.
A new class of nursing students are experiencing real-world scenarios in a new simulation center on the Fayetteville campus of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS). All UAMS students in Northwest Arkansas will eventually use the center.
Savannah Lewis, a licensed professional counselor, recently joined Methodist Family Health’s counseling clinic in Magnolia as program coordinator. She will provide supervision, consultation, in-service training, and related support services to the staff in the Magnolia clinic and school-based program in El Dorado. She also will provide individual, family, and group therapy based on the needs of individuals served in these communities.
The 18th Annual UAMS Midsouth Summit Black Expo, presented by the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), is holding a free event highlighting health education, cancer screenings, minority-owned businesses, and family-friendly entertainment.
The expo is scheduled for 9 a.m.-4 p.m. July 30 at The Venue at Westwind, 7318 Windsong Drive in North Little Rock. Admission is free.

Craig Levoy, MD, board-certified in family medicine, recently joined the active medical staff of Northwest Health as medical director of the Community Quality Alliance (CQA). Levoy also will be accepting new patients at Northwest Medical Plaza – Bentonville located at 601 SW Regional Airport Blvd. in Bentonville.
As medical director of the CQA, Levoy will be working with the Northwest Health team, under the guidance of the executive director and board of trustees, to support its network of providers by helping achieve the clinical goals and priorities of the CQA.
