Youth committed to the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Youth Services (DYS) and their families will participate in a new approach to developing personalized treatment plans. These plans will be tailored to youths’ individual needs, with a focus on behavioral health, and will include an option for youth to get treatment in a group home specializing in substance misuse.
Baptist Health has named Tony Hardage as the interim vice president and administrator for Baptist Health-Hot Spring County. Hardage will begin serving in his new role effective Friday, May 17.
A native of Bismarck, Ark., Hardage graduated from Henderson State University and later obtained a Doctorate of Pharmacy from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Pharmacy.
Sara Tariq, MD, has been named to the newly established position of associate dean for student affairs in the College of Medicine at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) West Regional Campus has announced the names of the nine new resident physicians who will begin practicing medicine in Fort Smith on July 1.
The new residents are:
-Caitlin Anee Elmore, MD – Hometown: Lenexa, Kansas.
-Kaethe Goodwin Chigumira, MD – Hometown: Greenwood.
-Prudence Ipaye-Adebiyi, MD – Hometown: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
-Dorcas Lomo, MD – Hometown: Choctaw, Oklahoma.
-Elaina Hope Murray, MD – Hometown: Kansas City, Missouri
Libby Grobmyer, chaplain for the Palliative Care Program at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), has been named co-president of the College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy.
