CHI St. Vincent announced that Mariah O’Sullivan, MD, an otolaryngologist focused on medical conditions affecting the ears, nose, and throat, has joined the team of physicians at CHI St. Vincent ENT Clinic in Hot Springs. She is currently seeing patients at the clinic located at 1 Mercy Lane, Suite 106.
Arkansas Urology and Conway Regional Health System will conduct a free prostate cancer screening and awareness program on Oct. 4, from 5-7 pm. Prostate cancer screenings aim to find cancer early that may spread if left untreated.
Screening and early detection can increase the chance of survival for prostate cancer patients. According to the Arkansas Prostate Cancer Foundation, those with increased risk for prostate cancer should have a screening annually. This includes men with a family history of prostate cancer, those ages 45-75, and African American men.
Be Well Arkansas, a program of the Arkansas Department of Health’s Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Branch, has created and launched the new Coral’s Reef campaign to reach younger Arkansans with tobacco and nicotine prevention messaging.
Sunny R. K. Singh, MD, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute as a hematologist/oncologist and director of the UAMS Baptist Health Cancer Center in North Little Rock.
Singh oversees all operations at the satellite cancer center jointly operated by the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and Baptist Health.
