The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) received a $99,990 grant from the Arkansas Community Health and Education Foundation to UAMS College of Medicine’s Department of Physiology and Cell Biology.
The grant will support the department’s Bone Fracture Laboratory, which includes the purchase of a KUBTEC PARAMETER X‑ray System and software, delivering advanced high-resolution bone imaging to the musculoskeletal research community at UAMS.

Arkansas native and pediatric allergy expert Tamara T. Perry, MD, FAAP, FAAAAI, will serve as the new president of Arkansas Children’s Research Institute (ACRI). She will also serve as senior vice president and chief research officer for the Arkansas Children’s system.

Anthony Davis, MD, recently joined the team at Baptist Health Memory Clinic in North Little Rock. He specializes in behavioral neurology with a specific focus on memory and dementia evaluation and care.
Davis brings 17 years of medical experience to the practice. He earned a medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, where he also completed residency training.
