On Sept. 4, officials held a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of Baptist Health Family Clinic-Rose City, which serves residents of North Little Rock and surrounding communities. 

A partnership between the City of North Little Rock and Baptist Health, Baptist Health Family Clinic-Rose City is the first full-service medical clinic in the east part of North Little Rock since a medical office burned in 2013.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will hold a public health summit on Sept. 21 to discuss the issues of structural violence, community violence, and trauma among Black men.  

The event, which runs from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at Philander Smith University, 900 W. Daisy L. Gatson Bates Drive in Little Rock, will explore the intersections of these health challenges as well as ideas for innovative, community-driven interventions.

CHI St. Vincent Infirmary of Little Rock has received the American College of Cardiology’s 2024 NCDR Chest Pain – MI Registry Silver Performance Achievement Award and its Chest Pain Center Accreditation with Primary PCI. Both honors recognize CHI St. Vincent for its success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients.

Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock, in conjunction with the Baptist Health Neuroscience Center, invites healthcare professionals to participate in the second annual Baptist Health Neuroscience Symposium on Oct. 4. 

The symposium will be offered as a hybrid event for both onsite and virtual attendance. For those attending onsite, the event will be at Oaklawn Racing Casino Resort in Hot Springs.
