Ahmad Debian, MD, has joined the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Family Medical Center in Fayetteville as a new primary care provider who will be treating patients of all ages.
Debian received a medical degree from Cairo University and completed a residency in family medicine at the UAMS Northwest Regional Campus in Fayetteville.
With more than eight years of experience working in rural areas, tertiary centers, nursing homes, and the military, Debian brings a combination of clinical and global experience.
In addition to family medicine, Debian has a passion for mental health. He provided mental healthcare for residents at multiple nursing homes in New York City and dedicated two years to mental health research at Baylor College of Medicine, contributing to multiple publications.
Having lived in Africa, Asia, and Europe, Debian brings a global perspective to patient care. With multicultural experiences that have strengthened his ability to understand and connect with patients from diverse backgrounds, he provides culturally sensitive care in English, Arabic, and Spanish.
Debian started July 1 and is now accepting new patients at the UAMS Health Family Medical Center, located in Fayetteville.
