Arkansas Children’s and Windstream are providing free community WiFi hotspots in parking lots of three Arkansas Children’s facilities to help families with children who are learning virtually during the pandemic.
“We hope by extending this service we can provide a convenience to the families in our neighboring communities,” said Marcy Doderer, FACHE, president and CEO of Arkansas Children’s. “Arkansas Children’s is committed to helping families find solutions that ensure their kids are learning and thriving through the pandemic.”
Access to the internet through these hotspots will be safe and secure and available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. As Arkansas Children’s internet provider, Windstream has strengthened signals so families can access the WiFi in parking lots.
“Windstream is delighted to join with Arkansas Children’s to make free WiFi available to families that are relying on virtual learning during the health crisis,” said Adena Handly, vice president of sales for Windstream Enterprise. “We understand that reliable internet connectivity is more vital than ever now, and we’re proud to assist our fellow Arkansans.”
