Emily Sledge of Little Rock has joined Arkansas Urology’s Centerview Surgery Center as the new clinical director.

Sledge graduated from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences with a bachelor of science and nursing in 2007 and began her nursing career at UAMS as an operating room nurse.  Since 2007, Sledge has been an assistant clinical service manager for the operating room at UAMS serving as the department leader with a focus on urological, gynecological, and robotic services. In this role, she was the clinical expert and service coordinator for all urological, gynecological, and robotic surgeries in the operating room of a level one trauma center.

“Emily’s exceptional capacity to multitask and manage competing priorities with ease while fostering delivery of superior patient care makes her an asset to the Centerview Surgery Center management team,” said E. Scot Davis, CEO of Arkansas Urology.  “Throughout her career, she has been recognized as an excellent care provider, patient advocate, and leader in healthcare. We are thrilled about what her experience will add to the world class care we provide every day at Arkansas Urology and the Centerview Surgery Center.

“To have someone with such diverse experience as Emily is exciting for our team,” said Kevin Claybrook, MD, president of Arkansas Urology. “Her passion for improving the lives of Arkansans through healthcare will benefit our staff and patients as we continue to look for ways to grow and expand our impact as the leader of urology in this state.”

With more than a decade of experience at UAMS, Sledge has not only worked in the operating room, but also excelled in staff development and had routine collaborations with ancillary departments, efficiency accountability, and safety assurance.
