CARTI is continuing its push to expand women’s access to trusted breast care with the return of its annual Mammograms and Muffins. Held each October for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, including Saturdays, the events are designed to reduce the barriers women often face in receiving their annual screenings.
“Arkansas has made significant strides in improving our breast cancer screening rates, yet we still fall near the bottom of the charts for mammography use,” said Stacy Smith-Foley, MD, board-certified breast imaging specialist. “The Breast Center at CARTI is committed to addressing this gap by ensuring all women have access to trusted, leading-edge care needed to protect their breast health.”
The Breast Center at CARTI will host Mammograms and Muffins at the following locations on weekdays from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. and Saturdays from 8 a.m.-11:30 a.m. In addition to receiving their screenings, women can enter giveaways and receive free educational materials. Those interested in scheduling an appointment may call 501-537-MAMO.
