CHI St. Vincent Opens New Arkansas Neuroscience Institute

CHI St. Vincent announced the opening of the new Arkansas Neuroscience Institute, a destination neurosciences center that provides advanced neurosurgery care to patients locally, across the country, and around the world. Patients from 38 states and from all 75 counties in Arkansas have been treated in this comprehensive program that incorporates all aspects of neurosurgery and a full spectrum of neurological disorders.

The relocation of surgical and clinical operations to the newly expanded center on the CHI St. Vincent North campus is now complete, with plans for the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute Research and Education Center to host its grand opening in June. The research and education center’s amenities include an expanded laboratory and classrooms, an auditorium, the Arkansas Neuroscience Institute Clinic, and office space for the institute and other physicians. The lab will be the only one of its kind in the world, featuring Dr. Emad Aboud’s patented teaching model, The Live Cadaver, to teach procedures and surgical approaches to cavernous sinus lesions, complex cerebral aneurysms, and other neurological pathologies.

“The Arkansas Neuroscience Institute is known for its internationally-recognized neurosurgeons who perform more than 1,000 complex surgeries a year and serve as mentors to clinicians seeking to learn the most advanced, sophisticated techniques for treating neurological disorders,” said CHI St. Vincent CEO Chad Aduddell. “This world-class institute will give CHI St. Vincent additional capacity to treat patients and improve upon the excellent and compassionate care we strive to offer in the community and beyond.”
