The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) welcomed Deanna Cochran, MD, as a new physician at the Thomas and Lyon Longevity Clinic in the UAMS Donald W. Reynolds Institute on Aging.
Cochran also serves as an assistant professor in the College of Medicine’s Department of Geriatrics. She started in her new roles in October, about four months after she completed a geriatric medicine fellowship at UAMS.
Cochran earned a bachelor’s degrees in biology and environmental science from Spelman College in Atlanta. She then went to Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tenn., where she completed the college’s Post-Baccalaureate Premedical Program and later obtain a Doctor of Medicine degree.
In 2021, Cochran moved to Arkansas for an internal medicine residency at White River Health in Batesville. After completing the residency in 2024, she came to UAMS for her fellowship.
Cochran is accepting patients at the Thomas and Lyon Longevity Clinic in Little Rock.
