Three Orthopedic Surgeons Join Arkansas Surgical Hospital

Drs. Jesse Abeler, Kevin M. Goodson, and Nicholas B. Wilson are the three newest orthopedic surgeons to join the medical staff at Arkansas Surgical Hospital.

Abeler specializes in treatment of the hand and arm, particularly in cases of trauma and dislocation.  He has also studied and researched a wide range of treatments for traumatic injuries to various parts of the body, including the hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder, hip, and knee.

“I pursued additional training for hand and upper extremity surgery because I was once told, ‘If you can fix somebody’s hands, they are extremely grateful,’” Abeler said.  “Working with patients to understand what to expect, from the diagnosis and all the treatment options, and helping them through surgery, is extremely fulfilling.”

Goodson specializes in treatment of the foot and ankle.  His specialties include minimally invasive reconstruction surgery, bunion correction, and ankle replacement surgery.

“Giving someone their mobility back provides so much in terms of self-confidence, independence and their overall outlook on life,” said Goodson.  “I take pride in getting patients back to doing the things that they love the most.”

Wilson focuses on total hip and knee joint replacement surgery.  His research includes work on pain control in total knee arthroplasty.

“I chose Arkansas Surgical Hospital because the physicians are all excellent and have similar goals of providing the best patient care,” Wilson said.  “The facility itself represents this, as every process is designed with the patient in mind.”

“We are proud to have Dr. Abeler, Dr. Goodson, and Dr. Wilson join our medical staff,” said Brian Fowler, CEO of Arkansas Surgical Hospital.  “They are welcome additions to the team and share our goal of providing excellent patient-focused care.”
