Scare up some fun this Halloween at the Tiny Hands Monster Bash, a costume party fundraiser scheduled for 6:30-11 p.m. on Oct. 26 at Next Level Events, located at1400 W. Markham St. in Little Rock’s Union Station.
Tickets are $40 through Oct. 1 and $50 after that date. Purchase tickets by calling (512) 468-0808. The party is open to guests 21 and older. Costumes are encouraged, but not required.
Proceeds from the event benefit the Family Home of Little Rock and the neonatal intensive care unit at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
The evening’s entertainment will include live music, dancing, silent and live auctions, a costume contest, and hors d’oeuvres. Beer, wine, and “monster juice” cocktails are included in the ticket price; a cash bar also will be available.
The Tiny Hands Monster Bash honoree is Janie Lowe, director of the volunteer services and auxiliary at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute. Presenting sponsors are Natalie and Win Rockefeller.
The Family Home is a private, nonprofit facility that offers comfortable and affordable housing to patients receiving outpatient treatment at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute and to parents of premature infants being cared for at the UAMS Medical Center and Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
Since opening in 2003, the Family Home has housed more than 4,200 cancer patients, caregivers, and new parents, including 125 families in 2017 alone. Residents have come from more than 30 states and several countries, including Bangladesh, Brazil, and Trinidad.
