UAMS’ Richard-Davis, MD, Chairs North American Menopause Society Meeting

Gloria Richard-Davis, MD, a fertility and reproductive specialist at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS), was the Scientific Program Committee chair at the 2018 annual meeting of the North American Menopause Society (NAMS) that met recently in San Diego.

NAMS is the premier organization in menopausal health. The meeting is considered the leading international medical conference dedicated to promoting the health and quality of life of all women during midlife and beyond.

As chair, Richard-Davis worked with national and international experts to develop a program with the theme of Innovation, Evidence and Individualization: Moving Menopause Management Forward.  Scientists from around the world presented the latest evidence based scientific research on improving quality and longevity of midlife women. Guidelines and policies for menopausal health is developed by NAMS from research lead and discovered by many of these scientists.

At UAMS, Richard-Davis is a professor and director of the Division on Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of the College of Medicine. She is nationally known for her expertise in women’s health, including infertility, polycystic ovary syndrome, fibroids, menopause, and complex gynecology problems.
