The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) is hosting the 28th Annual Diabetes Update Symposium Nov. 17-18 for healthcare professionals who work with patients to prevent, diagnose, and treat diabetes.
The symposium is a unique, interactive, interprofessional event that can be attended in person this year for the first time since 2019. It may also be attended virtually.
It will highlight important practice-changing updates and best-practice strategies for improving patient care, including the use of communication tools to improve patients’ adherence to care regimens.
The conference will be held from 12 n.n-5 p.m. on Nov. 17 and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. on Nov. 18 in the Fred Smith Auditorium on the 12th floor of the Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute. Parking is available in Parking Deck 3 at the corner of UAMS Boulevard and Capitol Avenue.
