CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs has established a new robotic-assisted surgery program with the addition of the da Vinci® XiTM Surgical System, making it the only hospital across Southwest Arkansas to provide minimally invasive, robotic-assisted procedures. The da Vinci® XiTM Surgical System is part of a multidisciplinary program offering general surgery, gynecology, and urology services with significant patient benefits that include less pain, shorter hospital stays, and faster recovery times.

The first surgery in Hot Springs utilizing the da Vinci® XiTM Surgical System will be conducted by CHI St. Vincent general surgeon Vincio Medina, MD. With robotic-assisted surgery, the surgeon remains 100% in control of the procedure, but the da Vinci® XiTM Surgical System translates their hand movements into smaller, more precise movements with the added benefit of a 3D magnified view.
