The Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary is hosting the fourth annual Race for a Healthier Tomorrow on Oct. 8.
This timed 5K race and family fun walk will begin at the front steps of the Arkansas State Capitol, wind through downtown Little Rock, pass by the campus of Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and finish back at the Capitol.
All ages and fitness levels are encouraged to register at archildrens.org/race. Registration is $25 for adult runners (18+), $10 for youth runners (5-17), and $5 for children four and under. Proceeds from the event provide critical funds needed to support expert pediatric care at Arkansas Children’s Hospital.
With an additional virtual option, runners can participate no matter where they are in the state. Virtual racers can walk, run, or ride from their home, neighborhood, or favorite park.
All participants will be able to create a customizable fundraising website to build their team. Adults will receive official event tech running shirts and medals, and youths and children will receive a medal.
“The Arkansas Children’s Hospital Auxiliary has provided critical fundraising support to Arkansas Children’s Hospital for more than 50 years,” said Anne Tedford, 2022 Race for a Healthier Tomorrow chair. “All ages and physical levels are encouraged to participate! We invite you to join us in-person or virtually for this great event that helps make children better today and healthier tomorrow.”
