Baptist Health Names System Director of ARHOME

Kalena Jones recently joined Baptist Health as system director of Arkansas Health and Opportunity for Me (ARHOME), a health program through the Arkansas Department of Human Services that focuses on improving the lives of three at-risk populations:

-High-risk pregnant and new moms and babies;

-Arkansans living in rural communities facing mental health and substance use disorders; and

-Young adults that are at greatest risk for poor health outcomes.

Jones most recently served as a regional group administrator at DaVita overseeing the operations and clinical performance of multiple dialysis facilities. Prior to DaVita, she served a five-year stint with Baptist Health, leading organizational development initiatives focused on employee experience and leadership development.

Jones graduated from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and has a Doctorate in Health Sciences from A.T. Still University College of Graduate Health Studies in Kirksville, Mo.

ARHOME replaced Arkansas Works last year. It uses Medicaid dollars to buy private health insurance for patients. ARHOME also encourages patients to be an active partner with their healthcare plan and work together to reach health and well-being goals.
