A group of Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) patients have turned crayons, paint, and imagination into festive cheer and their artwork is now available to brighten mailboxes and gatherings this holiday season.
The ACH Auxiliary Holiday Card Project is now open for orders at archildrens.org/holidaycards. This year's collection includes one-of-a-kind cards, each with a holiday message inside, as well as specialty gift items such as ornaments, snack mix, Swedish dishcloths, and gift tag stickers. Each of the cards and gift items features original artwork from 21 different patients, ranging in age from 4 to 17, along with work by featured artist Ashley Saer of Little Rock.
Proceeds from Holiday Card Project sales will support ACH’s ongoing expansion project, aimed at increasing access to pediatric care.
"Every card and gift in this collection started with a child who picked up a brush or a marker and decided to share something joyful with the world," said Margaret Staley, the ACH Auxiliary member who serves as chair of this year’s project. "When you send one of these cards or gifts, you are sharing their art and helping other kids get the expert care they need, today and all year long."
The ACH Auxiliary created the Holiday Card Project in 1968, one year after the Auxiliary was established in 1967. Today, the Auxiliary supports the Arkansas Children's mission to champion children by making them better today and healthier tomorrow.
