Arkansas Heart Hospital is pleased to announce a new partnership with Dr. Samuel Bledsoe. Dr. Bledsoe, a board-certified bariatric surgeon will lead The Bariatric and Metabolic Institute at Arkansas Heart Hospital. He will begin seeing patients January 4.
Before joining Arkansas Heart Hospital, Dr. Bledsoe served as the Medical Director for Bariatric Surgery at Christus Cabrini Medical Center in Alexandria, Louisiana where he completed more than a thousand successful bariatric surgeries. He served in several other leadership positions at his hospital including the Section Chief of Surgery and the Medical Executive Committee. He has also authored many journal articles and book chapters in the field of bariatric and laparoscopic surgery.

Dr. Bledsoe, MD, FACS, FASMBS is a board certified general and bariatric surgeon. He is a Fellow of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He holds additional membership in the Southeastern Surgical Society and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons (SAGES).
