2017 Susan G. Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure® is Oct. 14

The 2017 Susan G. Komen Arkansas Race for the Cure will be held Saturday, Oct. 14 in Downtown Little Rock, between Capitol and Fourth Streets.

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® Series is the world’s largest, most successful fundraising and education event for breast cancer. The race series includes more than 140 events on four continents, with over one million participants coming together every year to take part in the fight against breast cancer.

This year’s financial goal for the Arkansas race is $225,000. Funds raised through the event help to fund local programs like screening, diagnosis, and treatment services; safe and accurate breast cancer information; and patient navigation programs. In addition, the dollars support Komen’s national priorities of finding new early detection technologies, and increasing understanding of metastasis, and how to treat and prevent recurrence.
