The CHI St. Vincent Heart Institute welcomes cardiovascular surgeon Dr. Kenneth Howell to the largest and most diverse network of heart specialists in Arkansas. Howell will begin seeing patients at the CHI St. Vincent Cardiovascular Surgery Clinic, located at 5 St. Vincent Circle, Suite 501 in Little Rock.

Conway Regional Health System has acquired Renaissance Women’s Center. 

Conway Regional Health System will manage and oversee all operations of Renaissance Women’s Center.  The providers who currently practice and who will remain at the location include Michael Wood, MD; Courtney Sick, MD; and Megan Moix, APRN.  Kala Slayton, MD, has also joined the practice.

New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University has reached an agreement with Medic One Ambulance that will allow third-year medical students to ride with the Jonesboro-based ambulance company as part of their emergency medicine rotation.

Thirty grants of up to $75,000 each are available to help rural Arkansas communities apply for federal grants and loans to make broadband accessible to their residents.

The Rural Broadband I.D. Expenses Trust Fund Grant, sponsored by state Sen. Missy Irvin, is funded by the state’s Restricted Reserve Fund and federal coronavirus aid allocated by the Arkansas Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act Steering Committee created by Gov. Asa Hutchinson.

The ERBEJET® 2 is a new dimension in hydrosurgery that allows for precise, selective tissue separation gently by waterjet. Blood vessels and nerves remain intact up to a certain pressure.
