CHI St. Vincent announces that cardiologist Stephen Broughton, MD, has joined the team of specialists at the CHI St. Vincent Cardiology and Medicine Clinic in Little Rock. Broughton is now seeing patients at the clinic, located at 5315 West 12th Street.
The Baptist Health-University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Medical Education Program continues to tackle physician shortages with the announcement of more resident spots and the completed training of more physicians into the medical field.
The UAMS Institute for Digital Health and Innovation’s Brain Injury Program will host a virtual workshop, “Post-traumatic Stress Disorder 101,” on Aug. 24 to connect anyone affected by a traumatic brain injury (TBI) to helpful resources and support.

The Birrer Laboratory at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute helped discover a proteogenomic signature in ovarian cancer that may improve the way the disease is treated around the world.
The discovery, which identifies a 64-protein-gene signature that can predict primary treatment resistance in patients with high grade ovarian cancer, was published Aug. 3 in the journal Cell.
