Baptist Health Gastroenterology Clinic in Little Rock recently welcomed Lauren August Clark, MD.

Clark, a native of Texarkana, Texas, received a medical education from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine. She received residency training in internal medicine at Baylor University Medical Center.

The award recognizes CHI St. Vincent Infirmary’s commitment and success in implementing a higher standard of care for heart attack patients and signifies that the healing ministry has reached an aggressive goal of treating patients to standard levels of care as outlined by the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association clinical guidelines and recommendations.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) Department of Dental Hygiene is offering a free Summer of Smiles clinic from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. June 10 at Freeway Medical Tower, 5800 W. 10th St., Suite 501.

The clinic is for children three to 17 years old. The clinic will offer preventive services such as dental cleanings, examinations, X-ray imaging, and fluoride treatments.
