New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University celebrated 108 new physicians at its commencement and hooding ceremony, which was held at the A-State Fowler Center.

The NYITCOM at A-State Class of 2022 arrived in Jonesboro in 2018 as the third class on the medical school’s Arkansas campus, and the group experienced medical school during a time like no other. Much of the group’s final two years of their undergraduate medical education came during a pandemic, one that impacted healthcare like no other event in recent history.

The Arkansas Children’s Innovation Center is hosting the Pediatric Innovation Summit for entrepreneurs, researchers, and clinicians to address the challenges facing healthcare systems and to look for solutions among local innovation initiatives. The event will be held June 17 from 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Clinton Presidential Library and Museum.

Arkansas Health Network (AHN), a physician-led, Clinically Integrated Network (CIN) serving Arkansas patients, providers, and employers through a value-based approach to healthcare, has promoted Camille Wilson as vice president of population health management. Wilson, who played a key leadership role in the development of AHN’s advanced care management and associated capabilities since joining AHN as director of population health in 2017, will continue in this expanded role.

The Arkansas Children’s Hospital (ACH) Auxiliary donated $1.4 million to Arkansas Children’s Hospital to support pediatric care for the children and families of Arkansas and beyond.
