St. Bernards Home Health was recently recognized by Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) as a “Superior Performer” for achieving an overall patient satisfaction score that ranked in the top 20 percent of all eligible SHP clients for the 2018 calendar year.

The annual SHPBest™ award program was created to acknowledge home health agencies that consistently provide high quality service to their patients.

The 2018 award recipients were determined by reviewing and ranking the overall satisfaction score for more than 2,500 home health providers.

Forrest City Medical Center was recently recognized by the National Safe Sleep Hospital Certification Program as a Bronze Safe Sleep Hospital for their commitment to best practices and education on infant safe sleep. They are one of many hospitals in Arkansas to receive this title, and one of only two in eastern Arkansas.

Jefferson Regional Medical Center is assisting in the creation of a Technical/Vocation Sterile Processing class, which will be led by Joyce M. Grant Scott for SEARK College.

This program provides an overview of the sterile processing and distribution (SPD) profession and teaches the fundamental concepts, techniques, and skill sets in order for students to take the certification board for sterile processing exam (CBSPD). Each course lasts 16 weeks, with classes on Thursday evenings.

The first ever Raccoon Creek Crusher Duathlon was recently held in Mountain View.  Employees from Stone County Medical Center (SCMC) and White River Health System (WRHS) coordinated the event.  The event drew 84 participants and raised more than $6,000 to benefit the athletic programs in Stone County schools—Mountain View,  Rural Special, and Timbo.

Benefits include 24/7 online scheduling for center time slots within 48 hours via computer, tablet, or mobile phone; text reminders about when to head to the center; and the option to take a snapshot of the insurance card before they arrive.
