The public is invited to hear Nobel laureate Harold Varmus, MD, an expert in cancer biology and former director of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Cancer Institute (NCI), at 8:30 a.m. on March 12 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
The free lecture, “Cancer Research: Then and Now,” will be held in the I. Dodd Wilson Education Building auditorium. Varmus is giving the Robert E. McGehee Jr., PhD, Distinguished Lectureship in Biomedical Research as part of the UAMS Graduate School’s annual Student Research Day.
