New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University (NYITCOM at A-State) hosted its first session of Structure, Function, & Technology: An Introduction to Medicine on Feb. 28 on the Jonesboro campus. Students from Greene County Tech, Nettleton, Valley View, and Westside High Schools took part in the program.

Arkansas Heart Hospital has once again been awarded the prestigious Five-Star Overall Hospital rating by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). Arkansas Heart Hospital is one of 405 hospitals nationwide to receive this distinction and is the only hospital in the state to receive it for two consecutive years. The hospital has also been named one of the nation’s top 22 patient-recommended hospitals, one of only two in Arkansas.

Baptist Health Urgent Care opened at 14524 Cantrell Road, next to Senor Tequila restaurant in West Little Rock.
