Dr. Zainab Siddiqui has joined the team of rheumatologists at the CHI St. Vincent Little Rock Diagnostic Clinic, a multi-speciality medical practice founded in 1961, providing diagnostic and treatment services to patients throughout Central Arkansas.
Northwest Health is hosting its second annual HeartCheck health fairs. The free events, in recognition of American Heart Month, will be 8:30-11 a.m. on Feb. 29 at Northwest Medical Center – Bentonville and Northwest Medical Center – Springdale.
The purpose of this free event is to educate the community on healthy living practices and what to do if a heart emergency arises.
A group to help children ages 6-12 better cope with their parent’s cancer diagnosis is set to begin March 31 at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS).
CLIMB, which stands for Children’s Lives Include Moments of Bravery, will be offered from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesdays from March 31-May 5 at the UAMS Winthrop P. Rockefeller Cancer Institute.

CHI St. Vincent Infirmary has appointed Nisa Trenthem as director of the Emergency Department in Little Rock. Trenthem, a nurse with more than a decade of professional experience, has served as director of education and nursing excellence since July of 2017. She will continue to serve in that capacity, while providing operational leadership for the Infirmary’s Emergency Department.
Dr. Heather Owens has joined Little Rock Gynecology & Obstetrics, PLLC.
Owens completed a medical degree at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. She completed an internship and a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.
