New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine at Arkansas State University (NYITCOM at A-State) is now accepting applications for its annual summer program, Project H.E.A.R.T. (Health Education Advocacy Reflection and Training), which will be held on A-State’s Jonesboro campus June 23-26. 

Project H.E.A.R.T. is a four-day/three-night residential camp intended to further NYITCOM at A-State’s mission to develop Arkansans for service in the Delta Region.  There is no cost to the student.

Baptist Health Urgent Care will open its eighth urgent care center in the west Little Rock area at 14524 Cantrell Road, Suite 160, next to Senor Tequila restaurant. 

Baptist Health Urgent Care currently has centers in Fort Smith, Little Rock, North Little Rock, Jacksonville, Cabot, Bryant, and Benton.

The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) will be hosting TEDxUAMS from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. on Feb. 7 at the UAMS Jackson T. Stephens Spine & Neurosciences Institute at 501 Jack Stephens Drive.

Following the spirit of TED (Technology, Entertainment and Design), TEDxUAMS aims to present multiple issues and a diversity of voices from many disciplines.
