Join Baptist Health Community Outreach for the Merry and Mindful Holiday Wellness Program running Nov. 13, 2023-Jan. 7, 2024. The eight-week online program will encourage physical and mental wellness over the holiday season.
Each week, Merry and Mindful participants will receive a newsletter with tips, videos, and recipes related to staying active, eating well and managing stress.
In an effort to increase mental health services for Arkansans, especially in rural parts of the state, the Arkansas Department of Human Services (DHS) and the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) announced an $9.5 million, five-year mental health grant program.
DHS partnered with UAMS, two federally qualified health centers (FQHCs), and the nonprofit Arkansas Behavioral Health Integration Network (ABIHIN) for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) grant.
CARTI will promote the early detection of lung cancer with Saturday screening events at its Russellville, Pine Bluff, and Little Rock locations in November. By expanding access to low-dose CT scans, CARTI aims to improve lung cancer patients’ survival rates by diagnosing the disease sooner when it’s more likely to be cured.
